The enchanting characteristics of a visionary leader

by | Vision, Visionary Within

Some people would say that it’s a visionary leader’s charisma, that makes them enchanting. Others might say it’s their ability help others see a new possibility. What do you think makes visionary leaders so enchanting?

I believe visionary leaders are enchanting because they have a level of self-certainty that ripples outward through their words and actions. It’s mesmerizing and uplifting to be in their presence. They know exactly who they are, what they stand for, where they’re going, and how to engage others in their destination. This self-certainty comes from simply knowing oneself.

Here’s the really great part…..self-certainty is 100% available to you! Its already inside of you. You don’t have to figure out a path to become more charismatic, more visionary, or more like some other leader you admire. All you need is some time to reflect, and get present to who you are, where you’re going, and have a plan to engage others in your vision. Self-certainty, through self-knowing, is TOTALLY attainable.

By defining the characteristics of a Visionary Leader, I hope to inspire possibility inside of you.

What are the characteristics of a visionary leader?

  • Certainty of herself & gratitude for who she is at her core
  • Clarity of her legacy & the impact she has on others
  • Solid sense of purpose that keeps her grounded and focused
  • Calm during chaos, because she has customized strategies
  • Knows her own genius & empowers the talents of others
  • Leads with certainty in her vision that exceeds the doubts of others
  • Feels alive and inspired in the life she has designed for herself

The amazing part of visionary leadership is who you get to be, and what you get to discover about yourself, while leading people through change.

Would you like to expand your self-certainty? If so, try out one of these:

  • Find three things you are grateful for about you, your leadership style or your leadership impact
  • Study your zone of genius. It’s tricky to spot, because it is something that you do so innately and so easily that you don’t even give yourself credit for having the skill, talent or attribute. I started out by asking close friends what I appear to excel at routinely.
  • Try the 27-9-3 communication test. Can you verbalize your vision in less than 27 words, inside of 9 seconds and highlight 3 points?
  • Consider doing some brand work on who you are, what you stand for, and how you want to present yourself.
  • Explore ways to uncover your purpose. You can start by asking yourself what impact would I like to have on the world?

Focus on those innate, brilliant, and unnoticed aspects of yourself that make you the fabulous leader you are!
