African American Business Woman Leadership Coaching Scenarios

Situation

Candice is an executive with a vision that could dramatically improve her organization’s long-term viability. Her vision had significant risks. But, she believed that other executives had the ‘secret sauce’ to setting vision and designing strategy, so she stayed in her comfort zone and didn’t pursue her vision.

Transformation

In this leadership development coaching, she defined her leadership brand and found new ways to influence others that align with her strengths. Additionally, she cleared some limiting beliefs, which allowed her to verbalize this compelling vision for her company. Next, we cleared the path to move her vision forward by aligning resources.

Candice designed a delegation strategy that allowed her to move her routine work to her team, which created growth and engagement for them. Plus, it freed her time to develop the strategies needed to achieve her vision. Now, she has the time, energy, and comfort level to work with her peers, and engage them around her vision. Together, they are building the future for their company.

Leadership Coaching Scenario #2

As a result of some limiting beliefs, she was feeling stuck and uninspired in her role as an executive. While she did get to occasionally play in her passion project, she was living with this gnawing sensation that something more was possible.

Transformation

In this leadership development coaching, she identified her limiting beliefs. Then, we got to work clarifying her vision and clearing these beliefs.

Additionally, we created new ways to blend her favorite parts of her executive role AND her passion project. Then, we aligned resources and implemented a new support system that enabled her to increase her time with her passion project. This in turn, opened-up new ideas about funding streams for her passion project. Today, Joselyn gets to experience achievement in her leadership role AND fulfillment in her passion project. She is now aligned with who she is and her future state vision.

Transformation

In this leadership development coaching, she clarified her vision for the company. And, she aligned her leadership style, brand, and purpose with the company mission. By doing this, she transformed her energy from self-doubt into charisma and enthusiasm for the vision she was inspired to implement. In this scenario, we developed a plan for influencing her change resistors using her innate talents. Next, she devised her succession plan with a delegation strategy that worked for her and her successor. Now, Gabby has freed up 50% of her time to build strategy and sway the change resistors.
